Helen M. Foley
of Binghamton, N.Y.
Helen M. Foley, 90, went to be with her Lord December 27, 2002. She was predeceased by her siblings, Doris M. Foley, Edward M. Foley, Frances Foley Butler, and Candace Foley Dennington. She is survived by her sister, Norma Lawson; nieces and nephews, Joan Sorbaugh, Lott Lawson Jr., Candace Buckley, Michael Butler, Michael Foley, Bridget Brewster, Brooke Carroll, Ryan Willis A.F., Marietta Foley, Bailey Rought, Maureen Foley, Kathleen Klein; several cousins and a host of friends. In Helen’s 42 years of teaching English and Drama, many of her students went on to their fame and fortune through her perseverance and encouragement. The Binghamton High School auditorium was dedicated The Helen M. Foley Theatre. She was a founding member of the Rod Sterling Foundation Club.
A memorial service will be held January 17, 2003, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9 Leroy St. Binghamton at 10 am., with father Lord officiating. The public is invited to attend. A reception will follow at the Binghamton Regency Hotel and Conference Center, 1 Sabro Square, Binghamton. At Helen’s request, please do not send flowers.
