Meeting called to order: 12:26 PM - Eric Adler, Chairman presiding

Secretary’s Report:

- Minutes of last meeting read, Jim Pratt made the motion to approve the December minutes.

Treasurers’ Report:

 -Checking balance was still stated as $XXX.49

Old Business:

-Bank account changed to reflect the current officers.

Changed the February meeting presentation to March date TBA

-In addition to reaching out to Audio Technica, Paul Kaminski has also reached out to Joe Ciaudelli with Sennheiser as another potential presenter for the March Chapter Meeting. To encourage attendance at the March meeting, the Board is willing to change the date and time of the meeting in order to accommodate the needs of the Presenter and Guests. The objective of this meeting is to give participants a chance to become more informed about frequency allocation changes, and how those changes will affect the legal operation of wireless microphones installations at broadcast and non-broadcast facilities.  WSKG will most likely provide the venue, and we are asking those wishing to participate to RSVP with Paul Kaminski by Phone or Email. Paul will keep the Board updated.

-The SBE Member Plus Benefit is Available starting January 1, 2018, the cost is $175 per year. This benefit package allows for greater access to webinars and other training opportunities. Please consult SBE.ORG for more information.

-SBE also offers a 1 year mentor program for new professionals entering the field, more information at SBE.ORG.

New Business:

-Consider ways to encourage membership and participation in the Society, microphone presentation will hopefully promote awareness of the organization.

-Recommend Dave Nicosia for membership and be a presenter.

The February 7^th meeting will be a Dinner at Johnny & Wilson’s Diner 6:00 pm

A meeting will be held during dinner the Program will be fellowship.

Discussion for April and beyond a possible tour of Cornell Moog exhibit or a local Museum

Adjournment:

 Jim Pratt made a motion that was accepted to adjourn the meeting at 12:45 PM
