Meeting started at 12:20 PM

Secretary’s Report- Stated as written. The 2008 Chapter 1 year-end report was sent to national SBE and so noted.

Treasurers Report- Treasury balance- $X,XXX.60

Short discussion on the 2008 SBE Chapter 1 federal tax filing. Tom Siglin will check into this and also with Charter One; referencing our checking account.

Old Business-

Our next SBE meeting will be at Denny’s Diner- Denny’s Restaurant (junction of Bunn Hill Rd & Vestal Pkwy, Vestal, NY) on February 12^th at 12:00 noon.

New Business-

1] Jon Scaptura will see about having a “rep” from Harris available for April-or-May. Also a short DVD on the Salt River Project, re: Tower Safety was also under consideration as a possible meeting program event.

2] Our March 7:30 PM meeting will be tentatively scheduled to meet at the NWS(National Weather Service)- Greater Broome County Airport. Scott Phillips to contact David Nicosia for the confirmation.

3] DTV transitional switch for February 17^th may be postponed. A short discussion followed. Reported and noted; there are some customers not able to receive all of the DTV signals available. In question was WIVT-34’s DTV signal.

4] Also noted- Time-Warner Cable reached a deal with Viacom Inc. on carriage fees, avoiding a blackout of 19 cable channels including MTV and Comedy Central.
