BUSINESS:

Meeting started at 12:28 PM

Raffle was won by Tom Siglin; $5.00 was donated to the Chapter 1 treasury.

Secretary’s Report- Reading of the Jan 13th, 2004 minutes was accepted as read.

Old Business-

1] In March a presentation on Harris transmitters and a possible tour of the T&K tower in April. May’s meeting is to be announced. A tour to the temporary WEBO facilities in Owego, NY, was discussed. Don Perkins will let us know if this is possible for May or June. June’s meeting will either be a luncheon or a night meeting, with a presentation. Two events for July- The annual "never rain" picnic on July 13th and the mini NAB show in Ithaca, NY on July 19th. Larry Bloomfield d.b.a. "Tech-Notes" has been contacted for the mini NAB road show with a possible 2 venues. A afternoon venue for the Ithaca college students and faculty and a evening venue for engineers in and outside the Binghamton-Ithaca area. This has been scheduled to be held on Monday July 19th at Ithaca College- Ithaca, NY.

New Business-

1] Don Perkins presented a suggestion to help out Jim Scholefield. A fire developed in his home which claimed the lives of 3 of his immediate family and Jim was badly burned. A motion was read and voted on, to send a check to Jim in the amount of $50.00 from our chapter. Jim, chief engineer at WAMC in Albany, NY was a former chief engineer at WINR in Binghamton, NY.

2] Jim Pratt mentioned the SBE drive for membership, that is to begin in March 2004. An article from the "Signal", that was written by Vinnie Lopez, was reviewed.
