Secretary’s Report- Stated as written.
Treasurers Report- Treasury balance- $X,XXX.60. Tom Siglin will check with Charter One; referencing our checking
account.
Old Business-
1] Jon Scaptura has planned to have
a “Harris” transmitter representative available for our March 12th meeting at 7:30 PM in the WSKG-TV46 conference
room. Our 6:00 PM dinner will be 50% partially reimbursed by the Harris Corp.
Dinner location will be at Denny’s Restaurant- Vestal, NY at 6:00 PM. Denny’s
physical location is at the junction of Bunn Hill Rd & the Vestal Parkway(
Rt 434 ).
2] Our April 9th 7:30 PM meeting
will be at the NWS(National Weather Service)- Greater Broome County Airport.
David Nicosia will be our presenter for the evening. Friendly’s Restaurant near
Reynolds Rd in Johnson City, NY will be our supper location starting at 6:00 PM
3] On
May 14th, we will meet at the Clearchannel conference room on 320 North
Jensen Rd Vestal NY 13850-2150 at 7:30. Jon
Scaptura will have a short DVD
on the Salt River Project, re: Tower Safety. Additionally, Tom Siglin will
present a DVD on Antenna Models.
4] June’s SBE meeting will be at Denny’s Diner- Denny’s
Restaurant (junction of Bunn Hill Rd & Vestal Pkwy, Vestal, NY) on June 11th at 12:00 noon.
5] Our July 9th
(Thursday) meeting will be our annual “Never Rain Picnic” hosted by Tom and
Kathy Siglin will start at 6:00 PM and run to dark. Location is at 108 Clark
St., Vestal, NY. Bring a dish to pass. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken; SBE
Chapter 1 will provide beverages, condiments and a good time.
New Business-
1] DTV transitional switch for
February 17th is a go for the 4 local networks. The June extension
will not be honored as most are ready to go now! WIVT-34’s DTV signal still
remains disheveled. A new transmitter will be in place shortly.
2] Also noted- Digital channel DTV 7.2 WBXI is now up and going as of last week.
