Old Business-
1] The July 8th (Thursday) meeting will be our
annual “Never Rain Picnic” will
be hosted by
our member Tom Siglin starting at 6:00 PM till dark. Location is at
108 Clark
St., Vestal, NY. Hot dogs, hamburgers,
chicken, beverages and
condiments
will be provided by SBE Chapter 1.
Please bring a dish to pass.
New Business- Jim went over all upcoming meeting
dates
1] May 13th’s meeting will be presented by
Joshua Recene of Broome Community
College’s
Video Production Arts Dept. Location TBA.
2] June’s meeting- John Bisset of Radio World Magazine
might be able to visit our
chapter. Jim
Pratt to look into this.
3] A possible “SkyWarn presentation by Dave Niccosia of
the NWS (National
Weather
Service) is possibility for a fall meeting. Chapter 1’s board of directors
to look into
this.

Program- Dave Niccosia; Meteorologist from the
(National Weather Service (NWS)
gave Chapter 1 a tour of the Binghamton Weather Service station. EAS weather code updates and procedures were reviewed. May 2nd - 6th will be NWS Awareness Week.
