Secretary’s Report- Reading of the April minutes
Treasurers Report- No report
Old Business- 1] Our June 12th 7:30 PM meeting
will be at the NWS (National Weather Service)- located at the Greater Broome
County Airport. David Nicosia will be our presenter. David will discuss the
enhanced New York State Alert System.
2] “A Taste of NAB”, with Larry Bloomfield is planned for
August 14th at WSKG-TV46, Gates Rd in Vestal, NY. Jim Pratt is
confirming the final location and supper arrangements. There will be a free
supper to everyone who attends this meeting.
New Business-
1] Our July 10th (Thursday) meeting will be
our annual “Never Rain Picnic” hosted by Tom and Kathy Siglin starting at 6:00
PM to dark. Location is at 108 Clark St. in Vestal, NY. Bring a dish to pass.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, beverages, condiments and a good time will be
provided by SBE Chapter 1
2] Jim Pratt gave us some good sites to go to referencing
the digital transition.

He also mentioned, as a reminder, WIVT-TV34, which is now
at DTV4, will be moving to DTV34. Additionally, The WETM-TV18, in Elmira, NY,
which is now DTV2 will be moving to DTV18. Both represent moving away from the
VHF band.
