Secretary’s Report- Stated as written.

 

Treasurers Report-

1] Treasury balance- $XXXX.37 current

2] Raffle proceeds of  $8.00  won by Gary Liebisch.

 

Old Business-

1] June’s SBE meeting will be at Denny’s Diner- Denny’s Restaurant (junction of Bunn Hill Rd & Vestal Pkwy, Vestal, NY) on June 11th at 12:00 noon. Please note that this is a luncheon date. Paul Kaminski from World Radiotm will have a presentation referencing the broadcasting procedures of April 3rd at the American Civic Association in Binghamton, NY.

 

2] Our July 9th (Thursday) meeting will be our annual “Never Rain Picnic” hosted by Tom and Kathy Siglin will start at 6:00 PM and run to dark. Location is at 108 Clark St., Vestal, NY. Bring a dish to pass. The hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, beverages and condiments will be SBE Chapter 1 provided.

 

3] “A Taste of NAB”, presented by Larry Bloomfield will be Thursday August 27th. Final details TBA at a later date.

 

New Business-

1] Special note: Nautel Corporation was gracious to cover our entire supper dinner bill and we wish to thank Nautel and Gary Liebisch for doing this for our chapter.

 

2] A get-well card will be sent to Gino Riccardelli’s wife. She is recuperating from a hip injury.

 

3] Due to time commitment, Jon Scaptura’s presentation on the Salt River Project, re: Tower Safety and Tom Siglin’s presentation on Antenna Models has been postponed until a future date.

Program-

Gary Liebisch, Regional Sales Manager for Nautel gave an updated HD radio power increase  “power point” presentation. Gary most recently was product manager for AM and FM radio transmission products for Harris Corporation and was a key member of the team that introduced several HD Radio products. Gary had been a chief engineer and director of engineering for more than 20 years with various station and media groups.
