BUSINESS:
Meeting started at 7:33 PM.          Raffle won by Steve Miller

Secretary's Report- Reading of the May 13, 2003 minutes was accepted as read.

Treasurers Report- Accepted as stated( $XXX.62 ). The SBE rebate check in the amount of $XXX.50 was presented and the SBE rebate letter was read. The amount received is 15% of the SBE Chapter 1 membership for 2002. Last years rebate check was $XXX.25.

Old Business-
1] The SBE mini NAB show is being held at the Spot Restaurant, 1062 Upper Front St. in Binghamton, NY on June 30th. SBE regional Chapters 2 & 22 will be
encouraged to attend and will be re-contacted by Scott Phillips. Two(2) door prizes were donated by Radio Equipment Corp. of Buffalo, NY. Still looking for an underwriter(s) to pick up the cost of Larry Bloomfield's Mini NAB expenses. Scott and Sue Phillips will assist with the initial setup at 4:00 PM. This event starts at 6:00 PM.
2] On July 8, the "Almost never rain SBE Chapter 1 picnic" will be at Tom Siglin's house- 108 Clark St. in Vestal, NY at 6 PM. Please bring a dish to pass. We are also inviting our neighboring chapter members SBE 2 & SBE 22.
3] Scott Phillips passed around literature on the New York State sales tax exemptions for those in the broadcasting and production sector.

PROGRAM: David Nicosia presented a program on EAS and a tour of the National Weather Service Office.  Discussed, was the role that the National Weather Service and NOAA provides to the community in relaying information to the broadcasters and general public. The presentation included the history of National Weather Service and planned unrelated weather programs such as AMBER.
