Chapter Meeting Report

BUSINESS:

Meeting started at 12.22 PM.

50/50 Raffle David Allen won and $6.00 went to Chapter 1.

Secretary’s Report-

Reading of May 14th minutes was accepted as read.

Treasurers Report-

Read and accepted. Additional $26.00 from raffles was added to our checking account along with the annual SBE rebate check for the amount of $150.25. The rebate letter was read. The amount received is 15% of the SBE Chapter 1 membership.

Old Business-

] ] Chapter 1 will be recognized as the founding chapter and we need to be apart of the celebration with SBE’s 30th anniversary. Again this year, the convention will be held at the Turning Stone Casino, near Syracuse, NY, on September 26nd. A room will be provided to accommodate our members.

2] July’s meeting will be the annual "never rain" picnic at Tom Siglin’s residence. Chapter members from Chapter’s 2 and 22 will be asked if they would be able to attend our picnic. A suggested $5.00 per person donation would be accepted. Scott Phillips to forward this information to Joe Glynn at Chapter 2 and Vinnie Lopez at Chapter 22.

3] A fall meeting in the Owego/Sayre, NY area will be planned in October with a possible tour of WATS/WAVR in
Sayre.  Dinner meeting might be held at O’Briens Inn.

Larry Brown to let us know by August.

New Business

1] August’s meeting is TBA with a possible Tektronix presentation. (Gino Riccardelli & Jim Pratt will coordinate).

2] The June "Signal" had an article on the new FCC rulings- see page 17. Additional articles were also discussed.

3] Tom Ichikawa passed around a set showing the tower taxation guide for all of us to see the amount of paperwork that is involved.
