Secretary’s Report- Read as stated
Treasurers’ Report- Tom Siglin stated the present balance is $XXX.09. Two(2)checks written and not cleared through our bank account totaled $30.00 for 2 new members( $15.00 each) for Fred Montalvo and Paul Kaminski. Noted: A check will be written for new member David Nicosia upon acceptance by National SBE, in the amount of $15.00 at our next meeting.
Old Business-
1) July's “Never Rain Picnic” will be 6:00 PM on July 9th at 151 Smith Hill Rd., Binghamton, NY. Jim Pratt and Ferdinand( Fred ) Montalvo to help out Scott Phillips in this endeavor.
2) On September 14th, we will be meeting at the Broadcasters Reunion to be held at the (Riverwalk Hotel and Conference Center) now called “Double Tree by Hilton Hotel at 225 Water Street in downtown Binghamton.
3) September 25th will be the SBE Chapter 22 Tech Expo at Turning Stone in Verona NY
1] Eric Adler presented a proposal to have a committee with a goal to organize and present a panel discussion about emergency alerting, hopefully this fall prior to the Binghamton Broadcast Reunion and possibly in coordination with the "Extreme Weather, Climate Change, Mitigation and Adaptation for Municipal Officials" seminars. Eric proposed naming the committee "SBE Chapter One - Emergency Alerting Panel Discussion Committee."
Those participating tentatively are Eric Adler, Al Miller, David Nicosia, Jim Pratt and Scott Phillips, Sr. Erik will forward more information to these Chapter 1 members.
2) October’s and November’s meeting programs are open. December’s Holiday Party is tentative to be held at Red Lobster
