Secretary’s Report- Read last month's minutes

 

Treasurers Report- Treasury balance is - $XXX.92 

 

 

Old Business- 

1] “A Taste of NAB”, presented by Larry Bloomfield will be held on August 12th (Thursday) at the Vestal Public Library in Vestal, NY. The supper will start at

5:00 PM and the presentation about 5:30 - 6:00 PM.  The dinner will be provided by Chapter 1 and will be free of charge to those who attend the “A Taste of NAB” road show. Scott Phillips to contact and invite Vinnie Lopez( SBE’s National President) and Syracuse, NY area Chapter 22 to attend. Tom Siglin to inquire about door prizes from Unicorn Electronics and Best Buy for our raffle tickets sales.

 

New Business-

1]SBE Elections are due for September and a slate of officers will be required. The offices running uncontested are the Secretary’s, presently held by Scott Phillips and the Treasures office presently held by Tom Siglin. The Chairman, Co-Chairman offices remain open.

 

2] Starting in September the SBE Chapter meeting day has been moved back to the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

 

3] Jim Pratt went over upcoming meeting dates. A possible “SkyWarn presentation by Dave Niccosia of the NWS (National Weather Service) is possibility for a fall meeting. Chapter 1’s board of directors will look into this at a later date.

 

4] SBE Regional director of Chapter 1 remains with Vinnie Lopez. Scott Phillips to confirm this.

 

5] We welcome our newest member- Albert(AL) Miller to Chapter 1. Al worked at WENE 1430 AM for 20 plus years.
