Meeting called to order: 07:57 PM - Eric Adler, Chairman presiding

Secretary’s Report:

Minutes of last meeting read, amended, and approved.

Amended to nominate Jim Pratt for Vice Chair, Web Master, and Email Coordinator. Paul Kaminski made the motion to approve the October minutes.

Treasurers’ Report:

Checking balance was stated as $XXX.49

Old Business:

Motion made by Jim Pratt to approve the slate of officers as nominated at the October meeting, unanimously approved by the show of hands. No oppositions or abstentions.

Officers elected for the 2018 term are as follows:

Eric Adler: Chapter One Chair

Jim Pratt: Vice Chair, Webmaster, and Email Coordinator

Ron Cappiello: Secretary/Treasurer

Paul Kaminski: Certification Chair

Ferdinand (Fred) Montalvo: Program Chair

Bill Sitzman: Frequency Coordinator

Paul Kaminski reports that he has reached out to audio equipment manufacturer Audio Technica asking them to give a presentation for the Chapter regarding the TV frequency repack will affect wireless microphones currently in service. Paul suggests promoting and scheduling this presentation to allow all broadcast and non-broadcast users of wireless microphones to participate in the discussion. Paul also mentioned that Radio World Magazine has a Pdf available on it’s website radioworld.com explaining how the TV frequency repack will affect radio station operators as well.

The annual Chapter-1 Christmas Party will be held at Johnny and Wilson’s Diner on December 6^th at 6:30pm. The diner is located at 440 Court Street in Binghamton.

New Business:

Jim Pratt made a motion that was seconded by Paul Kaminski to change the Chapter bank account to reflect the current slate of Officers.

Discussed the possibility of having Audio Technica present at the February 7^th meeting, and we would attempt to reserve the back room at the Vestal Denny’s or catering the event. We would like to schedule a presentation time that would allow both broadcast and non-broadcast users of wireless microphones to participate in the discussion.

Discussed possibly attending the Chapter 2 and/or Chapter 22 Annual Winter Gatherings.

It was also mentioned that the National SBE has introduced a new membership level for unlimited access to training and webinar opportunities. The annual cost for this level is $175.00.
